Great art in a small village

Once you enter the small Church of Saint Antonio from Padua, you find yourself facing the extraordinary and imposing lunette by Callisto Piazza, the most eminent exponent of a family of painters which characterised the artistic panorama in Lodi during the 16th century. This masterpiece can be dated back to 1528 and represents the Virgin with the Baby and Saints Rocco, Antonio from Padua, John the Baptist and Martino, Bishop of Tours, engaged in a Holy Conversation, such as in a conversation about doctrinal themes.
